Electronic Arts Games 15572 Editorial Review
** Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars - Xbox 360** "Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars" offers an engaging experience for both longtime fans of the series and new players alike. Many reviewers praised its strong ties to earlier titles, particularly "Red Alert 2," noting that the game evokes a sense of nostalgia while successfully adapting to Console gameplay with a well-designed interface. The Hollywood-style cutscenes enhance the narrative, with notable performances from actors like Michael Ironside and Tricia Helfer, making the story more immersive. Gameplay-wise, C&C 3 boasts a robust multiplayer mode that allows for fast-paced battles with up to four players, delivering a thrilling experience that emphasizes tactical strategy and resource management. This depth is further characterized by the distinct strengths and weaknesses of the three factions: GDI, NOD, and Scrin, which adds layers of strategy to both online and offline play. However, the game isn't without its challenges. Some players found the difficulty curve to be steep, particularly in later acts, which detracted from their enjoyment. The absence of a "Very Easy" mode proved frustrating for those unfamiliar with RTS mechanics, leaving some players feeling that accessibility could be improved. Overall, "Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars" stands out as a worthy title for fans of the franchise, marked by its engaging story, strategic gameplay, and multiplayer capability. Despite some criticism regarding difficulty spikes and individual player experiences with disc quality from third-party sellers, the core game has been generally well-received by gamers. **
