Session 2: Living an 8:18 Life (28:48)—In Session 2, Jennifer reviews the Neapolitan ice cream illustration that gives us a fun framework for how Heaven is understood throughout Scripture. She then unpacks Romans 8:18 to discuss how we should view our suffering in this life in light of the glory we will experience in Heaven. Session 3: Numbering Our Days (30:41)—Jennifer starts off the Session 3 video teaching reminding us of the truth that we are made for more than longevity, we are made for eternity. She then walks us through Psalm 90 giving us three principles and a prayer that define how to live with that truth in mind. Session 4: Getting Ready to Rise (26:51)—Session 4 video teaching centers on 1 Corinthians 15:51-53. Jennifer will share three “Listen Willis!” points that focus our attention on the victorious truth that when Christ returns, all believers will rise to meet Him with new, glorious, resurrected bodies. Session 5: Making Jesus the Treasure of Heaven (24:02)—In Session 5, Jennifer shares that what most of us long for about Heaven is the fulfillment of what we’re missing here on earth, like seeing our loved ones or having new bodies. She emphasizes that while those are good, legitimate desires, those aren’t the main point. Jesus is the true treasure of Heaven. Session 6: Celebrating at the Table (28:59)—Jennifer figuratively has us pull up seats at four biblical tables in the Session 6 teaching. She starts with the table of showbread in Exodus 25. Then we join David at the Shepherd’s table in Psalm 23. Our third stop is around the table in the upper room with Jesus and His disciples as He breaks the bread and lifts the cup. Jennifer states that those three tables all point to our glorious final feast as we gather around the table for the marriage supper of the Lamb. Session 7: Walking by Faith Until Faith Becomes Sight (33:10)—We are reminded in the final teaching video that though we have a great, glorious forever awaiting us, we’re not there yet. So, what do we do while we wait for that day? Jennifer points out we are to wait well by waiting with anticipation, walking by faith, being eager to do good things. And most of all, we don’t quit.
