Crime & Mystery Editorial Review
Dreadnoughts: Breaking Ground (Judge Dredd) paints a gripping picture of a crumbling America in 2035, where Eustice Fargo's new justice laws create a controversial environment with Judges dispensing instant justice. This comic, penned by Michael Carroll and illustrated by John Higgins, explores the early origins of the Judges before the chaos related to mutants and gang wars. The narrative elevates the complexities of politics, corruption, and societal collapse, effectively showcasing the first female Judge grappling with her dark past. The story raises questions about authority and justice, presenting a gripping tale that resonates with today's socio-political climate, drawing readers in with its well-crafted writing and striking art.
