Answer: The inside diameter isn’t 6”. It looks more like 7” so there’s a gap all the way around a 6” single wall pipe from the hardware store. -

Answer: i seem to remember hole was 2 inches larger than actual size needed due to fire spacing. -

Answer: Not sure if it would pass code but Great Stuff gap filler the orange is for fireproofing around wall penetrations. Check with your building department.
